Elements

Each sign belongs to one of four elements. The element is the broad temperament.

• Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): drive, confidence, a quick start.
• Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): reliability, patience, physical strength.
• Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): ideas, communication, reading the field.
• Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): instinct, loyalty, emotional fuel.

How we count a mix

For each player we look at five placements: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Each one adds a point to its element, so every player has five points. A team's mix adds up its players' points. When a player's Moon could be in two signs, we use the Moon at noon.
